The Domain Name Association (DNA) – part of the i2Coalition – is preparing for the next milestone in the domain industry: the launch of the next round of new gTLDs in 2026. To support prospective applicants, the organization is currently developing a comprehensive directory of service providers who can assist with the application and launch process for new top-level domains.
We are proud to announce that LEMARIT CEO Martin Kuechenthal has been appointed to the directory’s independent Advisory Council. Together with a select group of experienced industry professionals, he will help shape the inclusion criteria and quality standards for listing providers.
Guidance for Future TLD Applicants
Applying for a new TLD is a complex undertaking, requiring strategic planning, technical know-how, legal compliance, and marketing expertise. Since ICANN, as a neutral body, does not recommend specific consultants or vendors, DNA is stepping in to fill this gap with its new initiative.
The directory is intended to serve as a trusted resource for companies, brands, cities, and organizations seeking guidance and support with:
- String selection and business planning
- Application writing and submission
- Registry operations and compliance
- DNS security and infrastructure
- Rights protection and registration policies
- Marketing and branding strategies
Launching at the ICANN Meeting in Prague
The directory is set to launch in time for the ICANN meeting in Prague in June 2025. Service providers interested in being listed can register their interest via an online form.
At LEMARIT, we’re excited to see Martin Kuechenthal contribute to this important industry effort, helping future applicants navigate the path to their own dotBRAND or new gTLD.
